No need to bash the bureaucracy that is producing and making sure the tests for CV are safe and as error free as possible.
There is no need to look for a politician to "help".
I trust the medical research professionals.

Everyone wants the fastest most efficient testing to get us out of this pandemic.
Russia has fast tracked a vaccine that is being tested on the general population.
China is a little better and has fast tracked a vaccine that it its testing on its armed forces.
For myself I will wait until there is a safe thoroughly tested vaccine.
This is the fifth test that the FDA has authorized using saliva testing.
Seems to me the FDA and the CDC are doing all they can as fast as they can to work at defeating the disease.

If a rapid inexpensive at home test can be developed people would be able to test themselves on a daily basis.
Then when you turn up positive you have the early warning to isolate for the two week time period.
Would help to slow or stop community spread until the vaccine is developed and dispensed which could be a long time.
From what I have read a test is much easier and faster to develop than a vaccine.
