Young congressman Orlando Jorge Villegas wants to convince his fellow legislators that a less formal dress code should be required for work in the National Congress. He was interviewed by Dary Terrero for “La Gente Habla con Dary Terrero.”
“I do not agree with the dress code of the Chamber of Deputies for several reasons. First because we are a tropical country. A chacabana can be an option to come to a session or even without a tie,” explained the legislator.
Likewise, he said that going with or without a tie is not going to change the legislator’s efficiency. At the same time, he said he keeps clothes in his office because there are occasions when his visitors are not allowed in because they do not have a long sleeve shirt.
