Those are called Paso Fino. Parades of dozens at a time with their riders in their finery, following a truck playing loud music, are common here.Sorry dude, you got the wrong dress code for this neck of the woods. Just so happened my weekend at Pinar Dorado they had a horse show. I don't remember the breed of the horses but I do know those horses eat better than I do. It was a spectacular event to see. Everything was held on the grounds of Pinar Dorado.

(lucille make a reservation and go. jarabacoa is really, really nice.)
That's it, Paso Fino. They are some fine looking horses. I would be afraid to ask what one would cost. At Pinar Dorado there is a very large open grass area where the horses were kept before the show. The grooming, the time the trainers spent with the horses was something else to see. Those are called Paso Fino. When the Jarabacoa Country Club is finishes it will become the equestrian center for the region with a professional ring, grandstands, stables and parking for the big rigs that bring horses.
And, yes, Jarabacoa is indeed beautiful, IMO overall the nicest town in the entire country on many levels. Course I'm biased. I live here...:classic:
Do what folks here, including us, do: Join the country club and the golf club.I'd join the club if they built a golf course..
The one golf course only has 9 holes. We have joined the Country Club but not the Golf club.
I do not know if it really necessary to have two golf clubs in Jarabacoa, its not a big town, easy to go around.
Lucille, if you come, let us know and if you want, we can show you a few really nice Paso Fino breeding farms.
