Nelly Cruz, Governor of Monte Cristi and sister of baseball player Nelson Cruz, eventually died when she was being surgically intervened due to some of her injuries.

Rubby Pérez has been found alive, though injured. No extra details.

20 years ago this was a dark place with at least 10 pillars. A few years ago i went again and almost all the pillars were gone and this place was wide open and quite nice, Don't wanna be the guy that was "remodeling" this place.

They're going to find the roof was compromised when there was a fire there back in 2023. The big A/C units and the lights suspended from the ceiling didn't help either

The President is at the disaster area.

Already institutions like Banreservas are giving condolences

Son of senator and current gov official Eduardo Estrella who was at the disco, still missing; he's the husband of Alexandra Grullón, of the Grullón Family of Banco Popular

Full list of victims who were at the disco, in hospitals around Santo Domingo:

Do not have to be an engineer to consider the strength of the roof was questionable. Observation (via Google Earth) shows all of the exterior apparatus it was supporting. This outside view does show all the massive interior gear affixed to it. Videos of the interior do provide some indication of affixed gear. Roof supports previously in place have been removed per information from Manuel01. An accident waiting to happen, that did happen.

It is a tragedy so many died or were injured. So sad!

Now the finger pointing is about to commence.

Regards,

PJT

Based from the street view. Looks like the building is old and too many structures on the top that might cause this.
