Jetblue is set to resume flights to and from NYC, Newark and Boston at 10:00 AM this morning.

They expect to be fully operational by 3:00 PM today.

It may take up to one week to get all those stranded to their final destinations.

It's for the best. It's zero outside right now, and I'm not talking about Celsius. Highs near 40? again by Friday. Meanwhile, there's a heatwave in Australia with highs above 120? in some places.

For those so interested, Jetblue flights leaving SDQ for BOS are sold out through Sunday....and there is limited availability for Monday and Tuesday.

STI to Bos is sold out until Saturday (1) seat left....that flight goes through JFK.

If you need to get out and your flight on Jetblue was cancelled, your best bet is to try and rebook with a different carrier.

I flew out of SDQ on Sunday on Jetblue to Orlando. My flight was delayed 5 hours. The New York flights had real problems. I talked with one group who had been there 21 hours trying to go to New York. Lots of confusion among the local Jetblue folks at the SDQ aiport. A couple of times my flight just disappeared from the board, not cancelled or delayed, just gone. After 4 gate changes and and time changes we finally left. The New york folks were still waiting. I was in line to check in while the protest was going on. If you see a white guy smiling and waiving at the camara, thats me :cheeky:

A friend from near Boston emailed that there was a riot at the JetBlue ticket counter in SDQ. I can't find any info down here but I see the airline isn't selling any seats this week on their nonstop from here to Boston. I just assumed they were sold out. Maybe something more serious? ?

I would assume flights were cancelled because of bad weather in the northeast. **** happens. Deal with it Gringo.

Ya think?:classic: Actually I was more wondering why JetBlue was having problems, especially in SDQ, while the rest of the northeastern U.S. carriers were operating more or less normally. That was explained pretty well in the links provided by earlier posters.

I expect the lower cost airlines run a bit tighter.... stretch the crews a bit more.....

recipe for disaster when they change the rules as they did.

more time off for crews will eventually add to the payroll - the payroll will hit the ticket prices - we'll all pay.

saying that, I just booked March 5th --JFK to AZS for >$200, one way, Jet Blue..... $217 w/ the new $30 fee for front seats
