La Isabela Airport

From this week Aerolineas MAS will fly 2 times a week to Curacao. From La Isabela Airport.

Anyone knows this airport? Is it a typical small airport? Busy airport or quiet in order to go through customs quickly?

La Isabela is a small airport with small traffic, I'm sure you will be able to go by it quickly.

Sound positive and will get me quicker to Santiago than if I fly to Las Americas

They are all the same place. It is the mainly domestic and regional airport for smaller planes and is very user-friendly and charming, unlike Las Americas.
It's on the outskirts of SD on the opposite side of town to Las Americas.
You will still need to check in at the time marked on your itinerary but the process is quite painless.
There is absolutely nothing to do or see there (except for a stupid-priced cafeteria) so take a book and drink with you.

If it saves me customs and waiting in lines because I arrive at the same time as some US flights its cool for me and it will save me or the people who pick me up some driving time.. so far sounds good to me!
