What are you bored or something? This will never happen because of history and mistrust of both dominican and haitians. Can't you come up with a better thread than this ridiculous one. I'm sorry but it appears you haven't taken your pills. Rather than talk about BS why not come up with a thread to educate the majority of the haitians and dominicans. Shaking my head!!! I don't see why this is an "absurd" topic. If you're not interested in it, read another. I'm glad that Nals and others challenge us every now and then because we always end up with interesting conclusions/discussions and learn a bit from each others' knowledge and point of views. As a dominican I cannot see these countries becoming one at any given point but there were 4 people who voted yes and I too have heard many people ask me the same question because they perceive the two countries as being "practically the same." I for one am learning a lot from you all and hope we can have more discussions like this. It can't all be about sankies and the best resorts.

This thread revolves around a question and three simple answers. The rest is created by DR1ers who decide to vote and/or post their opinions.
We can't throw everything under the rug.
Oh yes, and for those of you wondering why some people actually feel motivated to give a negative opinion about "the poll", notice that they are not really referring to the poll but rather to me. They hate my guts (it's the same people who do the same thing on other threads).
Obviously, I still touch a nerve in them and the only way someone can do such thing is by actually still having some sort of influence in them as well. I always wonder why some posters are so inclined to react to whatever feeling they get when they read something I post (a sign of influence, whether its positive or negative) while other posters (like Hillbilly, Lesley, etc) don't feel the need do such thing?
The only thing I can think of is that some people have confidence in themselves and others don't. Those who don't become annoyed by my comments, not because of my comments per se but because they are annoyed at the fact that what I say actually means something to them whether negative or positive. That meaning is proven through whatever feeling they get which inclines them to let it out via posts meant to show me that my ideas, messages, posts still has an effect on them.
It's a lot easier to ignore than it is to listen and respond. A LOT EASIER.
And in the end, 51 DR1ers decided to vote!
It would be interesting to know WHO exactly voted, but that info is not available on this poll because I did not included that feature. When I do on which ever poll, there is an automatic message on the graph box letting potential voters know their DR1 screen name will show on the option they vote on.
I won't be surprised if some of the people saying this poll is no good actually voted.
