After an intense two-day clean-up operation, the Samana vacation town of Las Terrenas is gradually returning to normalcy, reports Diario Libre. Debris, hundreds of downed trees and light poles are being promptly removed. Tourists on flour wheels, motorcycle taxis and walking the streets are back in the beach town, reports the newspaper. The collected debris now needs to be picked up by the town government authorities. The newspaper reporter said the people were hopeful power would be restored on Thursday, 22 September 2022 by the latest.
