Same here. Why do anything different when my electric bill is so low and I hardly have any outages, and when I do, I don't even notice with the inverter? When ⚡ the bill is 1700-2600 pesos depending on ☃️ or summer ⛱️, the ROI of solar panels is terrible and non-existent.
And you need a lot of batteries if you want AC that runs where the sun doesn't shine.
And lithium batteries, which are the only sensible battery technology today for frequent deep discharge, may not even last enough years for you to achieve a return on investment. Then you have another huge investment in batteries and have to recalculate the ROI
The BMS on the batteries is in principle a small 💻 and experience tells us to be careful with advanced electronic in humid, hot and possibly salty environments.
In my mind, it makes sense to use solar if your electric 💸 is huge so that you get the ROI, or if a sensible investment in inverter and batteries doesn't cut it.
I would put a cut-off valve on your generator gas tank-that way you can run the carburetor dry when you are done using the generator.
The fuel in the tank isn't the problem, its the fuel that sits in the carb for a long time when you don't use it.
