BTW, and I see no one has mentioned this yet , because i guess most of you are not Hunters ..

GEESE are FEDERALLY PROTECTED Migratory Birds.. The Penalties for hunting or hurting them is extremely severe.
So the Eating would be the least of your problems , if you are caught Killing them, Out of Season, Not on Proper Hunting Land. and without a Hunting License.

Are you from Springfield?
No they aren't but they are an all-seeing, all-knowing progressive. Progressive miss-remember, but never lie. 20,000 people arriving with little foreknowledge of local officials and law enforcement...etc to a town of 60,000 would task a much larger city beyond it's resources. Example - look at NYC.

I hope you keep the thread open. It's eye opening.
The Haitians are "allegedly" eating them and up until May of 2015 you Danes were legally banging them.

Now that's what I call eye opening!

It might not be an issue for the city of Springfield, but it is for the owner of the cat that's been eaten.

CNN and Reuters have to be two of the most biased news sources there are.

Respect the geese and they return the respect.

Geese attitudes might be changing in Ohio. LOL

The Haitians supposedly eating birds, pets and such probably see this and think Americans are a weird bunch for doing nothing to these birds.

I don’t know what you see but I see an interesting but disturbing process. The presented “proof” leaves more questions than answers. Wanting to know the real facts I went through some fact checkers and it is interesting to see how this story got pieced together and became what it is today.

I watch clips from CNN, ABC, Reuters, DW and a host of other networks both (3) Left, Center y "Right".
Most common trend I see is omitting details to fit narratives. Take it with a grain of salt.

Leaving out inconvenient facts is that don't fit the narrative is one tool they frequently use. Another is the use of "half-truths". MSM liberal networks make Goebbels look like a rank amateur. The networks are nothing but mouthpieces for the Ministry of Truth. The only say what they are told say. It's all scripted news.

There's nothing racist about the fact that some Haitians do eat cats anymore than it's racist about the well known fact that some Chinese eat dogs. Are Haitians somehow culturally superior and more advanced than the Chinese that this is such an absurd and racist claim?

Until a bill was passed in 1981, it was legal in 44 states to eat dogs and cats. It begs the question - why was this bill even needed? I can see liberal heads exploding here, but native tribes were exempted for religious ceremonies:

"The law penalizes "the commercial Slaughter of cats and dogs with fines of up to $5,000". It prohibits shipping, sale and transportation of animals for the "purpose of slaughter for human consumption", except for Native American tribes performing religious ceremonies.[4]"

I saw this on Snoops about the geese. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/police-audio-haitian-geese/

This is about the false cat eating claim.
Snopes is the same fact checker that claimed covid came from bats in the Wuhan wet market - not the Wuhan virology lab. It's been proven it didn't come from the bats. Snopes is not a reliable fact checker and is biased.

Now, I don't care about anyone's opinions on this forum, nor do I usually comment on such topics. But I will leave this here :

"These Haitians came here to work because there were jobs, and they filled a lot of jobs," Republican Ohio Governor Mike DeWine told CBS News in an interview on Wednesday. "And if you talk to employers, they've done a very, very good job and they work very, very hard."

Our Haitian gardener of about 10 years, a pastor, lived here legally in Punta Cana. He is one of the Haitians the governor was referring to. His children were born here, his wife is Dominican, and he moved from Punta Cana to the U.S. legally when he was offered an opportunity, just as most Dominicans or Europeans would.

His wife and kids are still here, watching how his host country 'imports cheap labor' and then demonizes them for political gain?! Where have we seen that before?🫢

Believe what you will... choose your "truth"... I don't care. Peace.✌️
