Yes, sometimes the value is good - goods are very near perfect ; other times not.

Luxury items can be expensive.

Peanut butter; normally I make my own but price is now 118 ($3.10) pesos for 18oz. A rip off since peanuts here are only 30 ($0.75) peso a lb.
I use olive oil to make - another luxury 185 ( 5.0 dollar) pesos for my favorite Cirio Extra Virgin 500 ml.

A high proportion of expats have motorcycles or scooters. Even some that have cars also have motorcycles for convenience.

You did not mean a motorcycle and A CAR when saying:

I Know a lot of expats have both car and motorcycle. I was one of them till the day i found it to dangerous to go ''ahi mismo'' with the motor.

Pasolas are more expensive for some reason. It's difficult to hire for long periods because of security - normally hire firms retain your passport or blank credit card ticket.
I would guess 3000-4000 a month would be a negociating start point.

By the way if you feel insulted and want to give the prices of Champagne, Premier Cru Chateau de Rotheschild feel free to do so.
Personally I think its over rated unless you have a Cave de Vin and it is cellared in perfect conditions.
I promise not to be insulted!
