THE DESIRES, FEATURE FILM
Casting for The Desires, a feature length DV film. Video intended for blowup to 35mm. Shooting early-mid Nov for 8-10 days (specific days TBD) Casting TBD for October /Rehearsals on late October-Nov 7 TBD.
Storyline: A young man returns home on leave from fighting in Iraq and falls for the young woman his father has married.
We are especially looking to fill the following two roles:
Mirabella, Braulio?s mom, Latina, 40-50s, sensual, affectionate;
Leon, Braulio?s dad, Latino, 50s, tough, martial artist, Vietnam vet, healthy and strong;
We will also be auditioning for:
Braulio, 20s US marine, male, Latino (preferably Dominican), writer who listens and dances bachata; Larissa, Latina, 20?s, Leon?s new wife, loves poetry and bachata, sensitive, impulsive; Toribio, Braulio?s older brother, Latino, mid-late 20s, boxer/kickboxer, obsessed with writing and physical training; Diubelkis, Braulio?s ex, Latina, 20s, college student, perceptive, jealous;
