The Acting Committee for the Pact on Animals, led by the executives of the Listin Diario, has announced a massive effort to spay and neuter as many of the dogs and cats that live on the streets as possible. Both processes, the sterilization process and the awareness campaign are scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2025.
The educational and awareness portion of the process is known as “Love Saves” and is aimed at teaching people to care and respect these creatures. The efforts of the group are aimed at the sterilization of 10,000 animals a year, which will greatly assist in controlling as many as two million strays over a year’s time.
