Marileidy Paulino’s honeymoon phase following her historic gold medal win at the Olympic Games seems to be on hold, tells Listin Diario sports writer Moises Mejia.

Paulino won gold on Friday, 9 August 2024 in Paris, but on Tuesday she was back training. She is due to compete on 25 August in the Diamond League. Her wins in the Silesia, Poland Diamond League races mean US$10,000 in earnings for her.

Hoy reports Paulino will also be running in the last stage of the Diamond League in Brussels, Belgium on 13-14 September, with the opportunity to cash in on another US$10,000.

She will also compete in the Athlos Track Meet Athlos track meet—an all-women’s competition that’s set for 26 September in New York City. The race is promising “the largest prize purse ever for a women’s track event,” with US$60,000 going to the winner of each race and prize money down to sixth...
