I went down to hangout in Sosua's nightlife for the first time this past weekend. I usually hangout in Cabarete. My family/friends chose to stay with Rick at his Mary Rose apartments. We were quite pleased with the setup. The units were super clean, AC was excellent, hot water no issues. Rick was an amazing host. This guy puts in the work!!! I hadn't had the famous Rocky's bbq ribs since around 2006 or so. Must say...I think they got even better. And OMG those home fries wish I can have a plate right now.

All in all it was a great stay at Mary Rose with Rick. We will surely come back.

My family/friends (all young and into hanging out) had never hung out in Sosua's nightlife (Pedro Calisante). As soon as we left Rocky's and turned the corner we realized this wasn't our cup of tea. The "girls" were EXTREMELY agressive. I had personally never been in a situation like that were you had to fend off the "girls" :ermm: one of my cousin's almost got into a fight with one of them because she kept looking at her boyfriend. After a few minutes/few beers we decided to head to Cabarete were I have never experienced such a thing. Now mind you there is nothing wrong with what I am describing above if that is what you are into but my oh my. Never again will we hang out in Sosua.

To each it's own. Not my cup of tea either.

BTW, the ladies of the night "EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE" as you mentioned AND EXTREMELY UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was there, I preferred doing it "RacerX' style!!!!!!

That is just one part of Sosua, my friends and I (couples) eat out in Sosua at least once a week and there are plenty of places to go where you're not subjected to that situation.

Ignoring them always works for me and they soon leave to go bother someone else. It's the same with Beach vendors. Some people look like marks and attract these types. No eure contact, they leave.

The thing is, being a babe magnet, I have spent my adult life being aggressively pursued by girls..............(yeah right) :bunny:

I went for a curry night there once when Colin was running it, he makes a pretty mean curry!!!

Forgot to add how quiet and peaceful it was to sleep at Mary Rose. The place has like a home kinda feel to it. And the staff was fantastic.

Agreed. I did not see one "chica" that was easy on the eyes.

No problem B,

The app complex Mary Rose is located near the end of Dr. Alejo Martinez, coming from the busy side of Sosua El Batey. So from the center you start at the little park in front of the Banco Popular, follow it past the Jewish Synagoge/Museum, past Infinity Blu and then past the residential areas.

The app complex is located approximately one block beforea the intersection where the vivero lot is and the Church in a tent, after that intersection you go straight to Playa Chiquita and the Casino

you should have crossed the street when you turned the corner- then there would have been no problem

Yea, they can be worse than a used car salesman on a holiday weekend.
