What does Canada have to do with Kenyans in Haiti?
Once again EHM, I have to jog your memory. In 2023, because of Biden’s insistence, Canada kicked in $100 million dollars towards the intervention. Once the US and Canadian funds were in place, the Kenyans stepped up to be the promised saviours of Haiti. It allowed Biden and Trudeau to get on with other things and not put US and Canadian military boots on Haitian soil. One could equate the money to 50 pieces of silver.

The above is Canada's contributions to UN vs US over the past 4 years. Once again Canada likes to run its mouth but their contributions are like throwing a hot dog down a hallway. Btw here is the NATO contribution chart just for fun:

Grasping at straws EHM? What are these numbers? Total UN contributions? Factor in the US population, more than ten times the population of Canada, the US economy and GDP, and the billions of dollars in revenue the sale of US military weapons to NATO nations adds to the US economy, and the gaps are not as large they appear.

Again grasping at straws EHM. Notice that Canada spends more than many NATO members and has committed to 2.5% by 2026-27 As Britain just did. More to the point most NATO members will tell you that the Canadian military punches well above its weight anytime they are deployed to assist NATO countries.

Again, the US exports of military weapon are greater to the NATO members than the 26 other members combined. The US military complex is a major driver of the US economy so the money the US spends on NATO is well spent.

All that chart illustrates is that the US Military spending is excessive for the amount of success they have had. How many Billions worth of Arms did they abandon in Afghanistan. Canada certainly needs to spend more and readjust their requirements to insure only the best are employed in the Military.

Tell me where I’m wrong?
I'm certain Bob was referring to me. But alas, back on topic about contributions to the Haitian problem:

Canada is basically in NATO for free (and the country is in a disaster btw) Aside from this, the first chart indicates the UN contributions which was my original point. Econolodge says they coughed up 100MM for the Haitian cause. Now we know that's not true because the UN spends it's money on many things besides just useless Haiti. Point here is Canada has been very vocal about the Haitian issue in DR but they are just talking heads. They wanted to send a few delegates to a makeshift administrative office in the DR last year. That's laughable. For a country with the GDP of less than Texas, and folks that are basically in NATO for free, sitting around complaining, criticizing all the time when they themselves are a disaster. I do wish them well perhaps you will fare better under a Poilievre😢

When the tighten the rules instead of loosening them they will attract the alpha males, and females they need. Nothing attempted yet has worked in Haiti. A benevolent dictator with a hard hand when required might work.

Ask him about overstayers
Hopefully the DR will continue to deport those illegally in the DR. Only the Haitians of course. :devilish::geek:

Those proposing outlandish things like natural resources will be the only thing that can save Haiti are beyond the grasping at straws stage and into
the virtually impossible. Only Haitians can save Haiti and that isn't about to happen.

Yesterday the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting) announced the Haitian government approved a $276 million war budget to deal with the war against the gang violence. Don’t know where the money came from but it’s a big chunk of money that might have a positive effect on the violence initially but it will probably be short lived.

No mention of increased foreign military assistance, especially additional Kenyans. To the credit of those trying to stop the gangs, they seem to be hanging on slogging away despite the odds. The additional funds will enable them to continue their effort but future funding is still an issue.
