Deputies support motion for a hospital resolution

Delegates from the province of Puerto Plata have submitted a motion for a resolution to the senate for the construction of a hospital in Sosúa. For at least thirty years, the various governments in power have promised that such a hospital would become available for Sosúa.

These promises were always made by presidential candidates of political parties at election time. After the elections, the citizens of Sosúa heard nothing more about it. The draft resolution was adopted by almost all the deputies present. The opposition also voted in favour. The resolution calls on the government to include the construction of the hospital in the 2022 budget. It must be a hospital in which at least four disciplines are present. Namely pediatrics, general surgery, internal medicine and gynecology. After thirty years of empty promises from politicians for a hospital, people in Sosúa have become skeptical about these promises.

I see nothing in that article that provides hope there will be a hospital in Sosua.

Yes, that was in 2012. The render looks nice though.

Where was this supposed to be build. You would think they would put a shovel in the ground where the building will happen.

By the way, I think this is the render of the pediatric hospital several are talking about.

Considering the English name is on top and in a larger font than the Spanish name, this certainly doesn't appear to be a government project. Anyway, the Spanish name should be on top and either of the same size or bigger than the English name. Above all else, the DR is a Spaniah speaking country. Hopefully once it's done, they correct this on the sign on the building.

A similar thing happen at the airport in Punta Cana and they had to change many of the signs to make sure Spanish was on top.
