Men of All Ages Want Women in Their Mid-20s, Study Says

I think that sexual desire is dictated by evolution. The goal of the hormones that control all men have evolved to impel men to mate for the purposes of reproduction, and the mid-20's woman is the ideal target for mating. Evolution does not care about your desire to have an intelligent conversation, so if you want that, then you must fight your hormones and attend to your own real emotional needs.

Women in their 20's are most attractive because of biological reasons. A beauty contest with 40-something women will not prosper because the standards for attractiveness are dictated by hormones, not logic.

After people have passed the ideal age for reproducing themselves, evolution does not care about them. They might as well wander off and get eaten by a passing carnivore. In this sense, evolution is the enemy of our happiness once we pass the usual age for reproduction.

Once again, XO hits the cruelty and harshness of biology squarely in the eye. This observation is spot on...and cruel...and harsh, but unfortunately, it's reality. I wish it wasn't like this, but it is. It's what i observe every evening at the bar. I encounter this reality and harshness with myself on a weekly basis. I will be talking to some 20+ beautiful Norwegian girl (half my age...there is a Norwegian school here in Cabarete), and the some surfer kids--half my age--will walk past and call out to the Norwegians, and off they go. It's as if i don't even exist. And how could I? I'm old enough to be their father and they know that. I'm grey, balding, getting more and more out of shape by the day. Sure, i can make them laugh, talk their language, tell them things about their own country, but at the end of the day, biology takes over. It makes young men or young women follow a path that they don't even understand themselves. It's written in their chromosomes and DNA. It's a tattoo on their brain that they don't even know is there.

And now, i think i will write about...even though, i have written about it in all of my books. Biology is cruel, insensitive, unkind, but it's there for a reason. And there's no sense getting offended or hurt by it. It is what it is, and it always has been that way. The only time i see reality getting bent is when one person is extremely poor and the other person is rich and has what the poor person wants...when that happens, people will bend their instincts and end up with an older, out of shape, sometimes bad person. They stay in the relationship out of necessity.

Here is another scenario where we will bend "the rules of attraction."

“Listen up kids, this is how your brain works,” the Mocha Goddess begins explaining to the Mormons, “In situations where we find ourselves surrounded by hundreds of young, healthy, half-naked Spring Break college students, we begin to sexually fantasize about someone we find ourselves strongly attracted to. When this happens, we play-out hypothetical situations inside our heads. We generate sexual scenarios about how sex is with that person, where we might have sex, and what our offspring might look like. As we do this, there are times when we bend the “Rules of Attraction” in order to suit our needs.”

“Like how?” a Mormon girl asks.

“Like when there is a lack of men or women to go around. Whenever this happens, we start making exceptions to attain a mate. For example, take a look at the beach right now — ” she says, pointing to the crowds of people standing half-naked on the beach, “On a beach full of beautiful, curvy girls and sculptured young men like we have here today, no one will notice a 45 year old in the crowd. In fact, not only will no one notice him or her, we won’t even acknowledge their existence. A 45 year old in this crowd is simply invisible. You understand? But take that same 45 year old and put him or her in an empty bar, empty restaurant, empty cafe, work place, office or classroom — where the most attractive person in the whole room is that 45 year old, and suddenly, the rules of attraction change. And they change fast. People who previously took no notice to the 45 year old, suddenly begin to fantasize about him or her. We’ll begin to role play different situations inside our heads and imagine different scenarios — like what it’s like to have sex with him or her, what he or she is like in bed, what our children might look like, etc. It works in the exact same way regardless whether or not you’re female or male. This is how our brain works; we’re hardwired for mating. It’s in our blood; mating is what drives us.”

The Mormons stand studying the mocha Goddess, heads tilted sideways at about 45 degrees. They study her the same way a dog might study an alien from outer space. Let’s face it, dogs and Mormons are hardwired for mating.

It you look at it logically, evolution has more than just good genes as a controlling factor. It is also essential that the offspring with the good genes reach maturity. If we compare a relationship in which a twentysomething male mates with a twentysomething female and then bugs out shortly after the pregnancy, perhaps in search of another mate or perhaps due to the inability to support a woman and her child with a relationship in which a geezer with money supports the female and her offspring (whether it is his or not) so that the child grows to maturity, the second relationship is biologically more likely to be successful in the perpetuating the life cycle.

The Muslim tradition is that the man mates with a very young woman who has no education and is easily intimidated by him is less likely to remain unchanged if the women are educated and capable of providing some support outside the harem. This explains the fanatical devotion of the traditional Muslims to the changes that the modern world is making in their society.

There is biology, but there are also considerations in social biology as well. Humans are not hardwired into a single unchanging social structure, like ants, bees and antelopes.

I think that all relationships exist due to necessity, if you define the need for human contact and the desire to love and be loved to be a necessity.

I'll just add more thing about relationships that i've noticed from a bar stool. People who end up with men or women half their age often let there "Ego" get in the way of their common sense. I've done it. Everyone i know has done it. Ego is a powerful thing to overcome. If you do have a girlfriend or boyfriend half your age, ask yourself this? What is it about "me" that makes me so unique that someone half my age would find me irresistible?

1. Is it my "Peso"-nality?
2. Is it the origin of my passport?
3. Is it my infinite genius and wisdom?
4. Is it the fact that i live in a beautiful condo, and they still live in a corrugated shack with an outhouse?
5. Is it the fact that i have an education and they can barely read or write.
6. Is it the fact that i have money and they have a child to support and have no money?

There is often an obvious reason for why someone half your age is following you around like a puppy dog. Facing the truth is not always easy. Being honest with yourself is not always easy. But there is a reason, and one's instinct can seldom be overcome for long--unless you got mental problems. Mental problems or physical or chemical addictions can bend reality and distort it. When that happens, you see all kinds of exceptions to the rule. Even instincts can get warped when you introduce someone with mental problems into an otherwise healthy relationship. I see it everyday.

We all like to feel that we are "special", because we are special to our own existence.
It is difficult to back off and see ourselves as other might see us.

As I said above I prefer the girls over 40. Why? They don't yell, they don't swell, they don't tell, they are as agreeable as hell and they like it as well.

That is impossible to disagree about.
So long as the goal is mating rather than cannibalism.

The Cambridge graduate is a pretty rare exception. I note that she is NOT an Arab and NOT a resident of some Arab nation. Arabs tend to be more traditional Muslims. Best wishes for her. Maybe she can manage to prevent having her daughters circumcised.

She is Malaysian.Female circumcision is not an issue there (as far as I know). She was desperate to find a husband at any cost (why would she gives up her study then?), feel sorry for her.

I am pretty sure her hubby is a convert, they are often more royalist than the King as we say in French.

But, lets not make this thread about a Islam because of a desperate Muslim housewife. :D
