Playa Esmeralda is a beach in the Dominican Republic's Samana Bay that's known for its white sand and clear waters. It's part of the Costa Esmeralda, a 5 km long cove on the southern shores of Samana Bay.

Playa Esmeralda is a popular destination for visitors, but there are no shops or facilities on the beach. Some recommend bringing lunch and water, and arriving by private car or mototaxi. It's also possible to walk from a nearby town, but it takes about two hours.


There's also a luxury all-inclusive resort called Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda located on the beach:

Sky I disagree its in MIches ... the beach is my go to spot when I go off the grid

True, but the first comment was about not very good beaches, which isn't true. Some good fish restaurants as well.

very close to Miches, the nearest town. I have been there, several times.
