I am really reconsidering my decision of moving to DR for the moment. Instead, I will keep coming to beautiful DR every couple of months to get to know the place and the people better.
That shows you to be a smart young woman. Could I suggest that you also try different hotels (i.e. not Breezes) & different parts of the DR. Get away from the tourist areas if you can, away from the street smarts which those areas seem to encourage in the locals, and into the countryside where the people are 'real' and genuine.
And purely with your best interests in mind I'm sure there will be people here who will remember this thread come August and will be looking out for you so .............stick by your guns
. That isn't meant to sound threatening, it's just that in many ways it's a very small world down here.
