Miley Cyrus wants to defend artistic expression

Santo Domingo.- Miley Cyrus has supposedly filed a legal challenge against a ruling which prevented her from performing her Bangerz Tour show in the Dominican Republic next week.

The U.S. star was scheduled to perform in Santo Domingo on September 13 as part of her world tour, but the National Commission for Public Performances (CNEPR) decided to ban the concert due to "the acts at odds with morality and customs that are penalized by Dominican laws."

E! News reported Tuesday that Miley has answered the cancellation by filing papers in a Dominican court claiming the CNEPR's ban on artistic expression goes against the country's constitution. "Miley wants to defend artistic expression for all artists," E! News reported.

Miley filing a legal challenge isn't about artistic expression... it's about generating income.

She has a gap in her money making calendar at the moment, and she wants to fill it.
