A few sacrificial lambs along
with some low hanging fruit
were harrassed for a photo op.

These operations played out nationwide on Sunday. They were not limited to this one business in Romana.
And in reality, all this is doing is pushing the crowds behind walls and doors, in sort of speakeasy fashion during Prohibition. They are not limiting crowd gatherings, but gatherings are occurring, and will continue to do so where they can't be seen.

There has been no shortage of reports of private parties in closed locations being shut down after complaints by neighbors, even without noise reports.

Videos on social networks are testimonies of the hidden and open parties that people carry out in the streets, swimming pools, clubs, and populous barrios.

“They have also shown the clashes of civilians with members of the National Police and the military when they were caught violating the curfew,” Diario Libre reports.

According to sociologists Celedonio Jiménez and José Antinoe Fiallo, this disobedience and refusal of society to abide by the rules, even with the knowledge that they are to prevent the spread of the disease, has several reasons.

“Both agree that one of the reasons has been throughout the period in which the population has been in confinement and, therefore, they feel the need to act freely, with their old customs and their desire to “enjoy” the moment.

It needs to be said, these "intellects" like sociologist Celedonio Jiménez and José Antinoe Fiallo are a danger to society as well.

If there's one thing the DR has no shortage of, it's radio commentators and spokespersons.

Have you ever listened to Z101?

Correct, you are.
Some even require the secret knock.

Nothing new. This generation just thinks they invented the game.
