The Ministry of Culture (MINC) announced on Tuesday, 13 August 2024 the winners of its 2024 Annual Literature Awards for works published between 2022 and 2023. The awards, which recognize excellence in six literary categories, come with a RD$300,000 prize and a certificate of honor.
The ceremony took place at the Ministry’s headquarters and was presided over by the Vice Minister of Cultural Identity and Citizenship, Pastor De Moya. He was joined by the Director General of Books and Reading, Ángela Hernández, and the Director of Literary Management, Fari Rosario.
During his speech, Rosario emphasized that “with this announcement of the Annual Literature Awards, we further consolidate and strengthen the literary tradition of our country.”
