The Ministry of Interior and Police continues to combat noise pollution, and announces the shut down of three nightlife businesses in eastern Santo Domingo. Another 12 were given warnings.
In a concerted effort to curb noise pollution and maintain public order, the Alcohol Control Unit (COBA) of the Ministry of Interior and Police conducted a series of inspections at 15 nightlife establishments in Villa Duarte, Los Mameyes, and Ensanche Isabelita. The operation, dubbed “Operation Guarantee of Peace,” resulted in the temporary closure of three businesses due to excessive noise, obstruction of public thoroughfares, and the sale of alcoholic beverages beyond permitted hours.
Those shuttered include Colmado el Patrón, whose owner was arrested for resisting authorities, La Vaca Licor Store, and the bar-billiards hall Snooker. An...
