I was surprised to learn from a Firefighter friend that they are taught window screens block ventilation by up to 65% This is based on need to remove screens when ventilating a room when fighting a fire

anywho, would think the advantages of screens far out weigh the negatives. One instance of being bit by a disease carrying bug can ruin your day, and without adequate anti mosquito artillery at night sleeping can be hell
