Most Beautiful Beach in DR: Playa Fronton

Playa Fronton is one of the most remote, hardest to reach, most beautiful beaches on the north coast. There are only four ways to reach the beach: A.) 25 minute boat ride from Las Galeras, B.) Hiking from Boca de Diablo for 1 hour along a trail that hugs the coast line and is stunning, C.) An even longer hike that ends at the top of the cliff over-looking the beach, where you then have to climb over the top of the cliff and then down a very steep ravine, where you'll come rolling down onto the beach like a beach ball (i have never taken this full route; i have only climbed the trail from the beach to the top of the cliff and back down.) D. Parachute onto the beach.

BTW how's the sand, depth of water, etc...How do these things compare to Rincon for instance.

The beach is only one football length long. the sand is beautiful, the water is crystal clear, it's considered paradise for snorkeling because there are rocks everywhere. but again, the beach is so unbelievably remote and hard to get to that it's almost as if you are on another island when you finally reach it.

No. I saw them fine as soon as he posted them. In fact, I've never had any problems seeing the pics he posts.

However, your adjustment, Hlywud, made these easier to see because they show up directly now and not via his photobucket. Therefore, ya done good.

Not sure why some of us see photos and others don't. It's been more of an issue it seems in the last couple of weeks.

Yes, that is correct...you can only get as far as "Boca de Diablo" by car or motorcycle...from there you have one of the most stunning, draw-dropping, invigorating, pre-historic (3 or 4 caves along the hike) and amazing hikes that runs along a trail along the coast...it will take you about 1 hour to reach Playa Fronton once you start hiking. but the reward is well worth it.
