In Sosúa only chicas and guys after chicas could possibly effect tourists, nothing else apparently bothers them, nothing at all...!?
That's what we are told the last 15 or more years, all resources and efforts have been towards rectifying that - and what a huge improvement so far...! lol
I saw on a local group that early on Sunday morning, someone was shot dead in front of Caribe Tours in Sosua by two guys, there was a 'Wanted' poster being circulated, with photos of the accused. Not sure if this is related.
A tourist wouldn't be caught dead in front of Blue Ice. Now a chica, monger, or that skinny local collecting pesos for watching your car being parked, well that's a possibility.
Chicas and the guys after them are the ones who attract this environmental violence on the streets of downtown Sosúa.

How could you POSSIBLY have never heard of the Place. ? I dont even see how that is possible, unless you have never stepped foot in the Middle Of Sosua .

Sadly tho, the biggest Problem I have with this Place, is the FOOD Pictures are pretty much all stolen from Gourmet Cooking Websites.
So you not gonna get served that food in the pics.
The Live Video food stuff is real I think.. Not sure how their food is . I would not eat there.

But the Spot is now 100% a Jet Blue weekend Warrior Hangout spot, specializing in Happy Birthday Cakes with Fireworks , and " VIP" service for the big Baller Wanna be's .

I had no idea that was the current name of the place. Last I noticed it had some Montreal associated name with it.
So, no, I had no idea it was now called Blue Ice, but yes, I know where it is after looking it up. I had no idea who Peter and his wife are.
Once again, the future will bring more expats, nore condos, more villas To wish for the tourists of old to return is a pipe dream. The flights don't exist.
Sosua has given the whole of the DR a bad reputation because of the muppets. That is why we have seen the various efforts underway over the years from forcing bars to serve food, blocking the view to the street, cleaning up the beach squalor, etc.
Drug related shootings won't help matters. Murders will only accentuate the focus.
