Here's pics of my fellow classmates and a professor at a bbcue we had last night after a final exam. I can say I have never had so much fun going to school as I've had going to PUCMM. I'm not saying everyone here has such a fun time but I expect my case isn't unusual given that Dominicans are very social. BTW, the guy in the green shirt and glasses is my "panafull" Fernando. I have one other panafull "Stalyn" who had to leave early because he has a newborn. These guys are normal joe family guys like me and I look forward to working with them on projects in the future, si Dios lo permita. :)

The girls in the pictures are fellow students and are both engineers. We are in a master's program in construction administration. We are halfway done, one year to go.

HEY!!! How come I wasn't invited? I LOVE BBCUE. Cool fotos Chip and I have to applaud you on going to school in Santiago. NOTHING could ever make me want to see the inside of a classroom again, but if the women look like that I may have to rethink this. When I was going to school people from the engineer department did not look like that.

Thanks for sharing these nice pictures.

Chip, This question is not related to the topic of the thread, but you don't look like the stereotypical Gringo. I've seen many Dominicans in Santiago that look like you, so I guess alot of times you're taken as local until you oper your mouth. Has this been your experience? or do people automatically take you for a gringo?

I sometimes get mistaken for a Dominican, it could be because of the way I dress and my beerbelly. :) Although my wife did think my dad was a Mexican gardener working at my parent's house when she first met him.

After I speak though they know I'm a foreigner .

Cool pics students at PUCMM seem to be civilized, educated, and mostly middle to upper class students.

I wonder if I take a general chemistry or general physics course there if the credits could be transferrable to U.S. university as fulfulling prerequisites for admittance to a physical therapy program???

I would recommend calling them to find out. Good luck.

Re: Transferring credits from ANY place to ANY place else.

The first criteria is Course Content. Math 101 in some places is way different than Math 101 at others. Make sure what PUCMM is teaching in the chemistry and physics courses is more or less the same as at your place.

I would say to Baby Bori that : Yes, you could take a few credits in QMA or FIS at PUCMM for transfer but remember that the
Second Criteria is GRADES...Most places will only transfer Bs and As...so check and see what your school will accept.
