Minnesota Twins slugger Nelson Cruz was moved to tears when learning he had been named the winner of the 2020 Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award ESPY. He is recognized for his charitable work in his hometown of Las Matas de Santa Cruz, Dominican Republic. Cruz began donating the town’s first firetruck and ambulance, and then his help to his hometown never stopped.
