I took a look while they was finishing construction and it looks amazing.
Franco that posts on DR1 is the owner and has done a fine job.

Tonight (Monday) they have a soft opening, so if your about go check it out.

Looks very elegant and shiek(sp)
Nah, that'll be the "Arabian" restaurant down the road.:cheeky:

Where is it? I know you can't cross Naco these days without tripping over a sushi bar, but I don't think I've noticed this one.

how can a SUSHI bar be named PRAVDA is beyond me....

I'll think you will find that has more to do with the owner than sushi :)

As long as it's a great place, who cares? Plus, most locals will refer to it by name and will not take any notice of the origins of the name.

in that case it's excusable. but the russian place would be nice too....

the meaning of "pravda"

For the record, "pravda" is Russian for "truth." It was also the name of a Soviet era national newspaper.

That completes my useless trivia quotient for today.

Looks great!! Im often amazed that in a city as "crazy" as SD, there are so many high-end/trendy/excellent bars and restaurants... my favorites are Sophia's and Porterhouse...

The funniest part about it is that there was almost no word of truth written in that "Pravda" paper ;). So, it looks like a humorous sort of name for a place to eat ...

Well I also think it looks very hip but also classy...

Would love to hear some reviews from ppl who have been there....
Also prices as the previous poster asked...

I checked the website, and didn't actually see what they offer under the menu section...

If anyone is going...can you tell me if they offer Tempura? Dynamite Rolls? Spider Rolls? California Rolls?

Chirimoya - you mentioned there are lots of Sushi bars in Naco...Do you have any of the names of those? Any reviews or ratings on them?

(lol...can you tell I'm a sushi lover?)
