Me too. The ubiquitous umbrellas.

Then I came to DR and saw all the Dominicans using umbrellas in the bright sunshine. I initially thought they were nuts, but then I realized it’s no different than sitting under a beach umbrella to avoid the hot sun.

Well I'm afraid you're both wrong. It's July and where I was staying in England today it's a pleasant temperature in the twenties (C) and 0% chance of rain. Unlike the DR, where it's been raining on and off for days in Cabarete.
