Authorities in Azua province have cracked down on several late-night establishments, closing down several businesses that served alcoholic beverages. The joint operation was carried out by various law enforcement agencies, including the Ministry of Interior and Police, the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD), the National Police, and the Public Ministry. The initiative is part of the new program underway by the Ministry of Interior and Police that calls for businesses to operate with less negative impact on the peace in the community.
Among the businesses affected by the closures was D’ Peter Super Frías, owned by Santiago Sención in the municipal district of Villarpando.
