Doesn't matter who approves of them or not ,, THEY EXIST ... Approving or not approving , does NOT change this FACT ..

Therefore, Logically , and using a little of your critical thinking skills ... this makes ALL vax Cards WORTHLESS , They only have Value to the HOLDER , not the person looking at them for PROTECTION..

why is this so hard to understand for some ?

never mind ,I already know.
I don’t think anybody approves of fake vax cards but maybe they exist. I still need my second jab to get my vax card but I have decided to wait. I was going to travel in bus CaribTours or Metro but won’t now and wouldn’t even if I had the full card. It won’t be fun at the bus stations everybody in queue having their vax card checked. I bet those busses will do it.

I don’t really think much about that. I am more being devils advocate regarding the implementation of all this. I don’t think it’s realistic.

Don't let the vaccine card stop you from travelling...go and take the PCR test...for free...

So what if we're fully vaxed from another country? I'm fully vaxed from Ontario and our vaccination receipts look like something a highschooler came up with... it's embarrassing. The Dominican vax cards look way better in comparison.

Back to my question... has anyone heard how fully vaxed people from other countries will be able to go about their business? Do we need to get our proof translated, legalized, apostled, blessed by the pope, etc? Can we take our vaccine proof to Salud Publica and get a Dominican card with our info on it? Thanks.

I think you will be doing what the govt. wants - which is to keep unvaccinated people out of these establishments.
I think you got that wrong...what the government really wants is to push people to get vaccinated as the tactic is to use fear porn...through out this artificial pandemic the element of fear has worked...there has been a jump in the number of jabs...

I seriously doubt it. If this is the route the government wants to take, vaccine cards should be verified when travelers enter the country. The government will probably try to pass this off to the airlines - just like the E-Ticket.

Does a tourist get like a tourist card at entrance after paying the tax ? Maybe that will be enough them assuming the airline checked it. I am just speculating.

Canadian airlines have included the tourist card with the purchase of the ticket. Won't apply to me because I'm a Dominican Citizen. Would be awesome if there was a way to get something at the airport upon arrival.

Everyone that is a legal resident here has legal rights and a number of us are citizens like SKY, William Weber, myself, Windy .etc I know from my own conversations with Dominicans and school clients that there are many more Dominicans than you think that are resistant to getting vaccinated. Another problem is they arent vaccinating Haitians that have no papers.
Yes us residents and citizens have rights. So what? Are you going to be the one who leads the charge against mass vaccination? I've gotten mine and will get more if offered so leave me out.

As far as I know, all airlines include the entry tax in the ticket price and have done so for a long time. I think years ago they used to give you a tourist card, but not anymore.

Less than 48 hrs since they made the announcement and I've already been approached by someone telling me these "cards" will be ready "available" if I'm interested, lol (no thanks)
I feel safer already.

And France, and Switzerland, etc ..... And it works just fine AND protects your privacy.
Now we want the DR to be like Lituania, (where my family is originally from) France and Switzerland?
Sounds like winner.

The effective date is the 18th of October
So they would have to implement it some days before right ? For the people traveling in. Hhmm maybe they didn’t think about that

I am for vaccinations and have three so far. I am against mask mandates and sitting on the fence about vaccination mandates.

They always implement things first and then correct the problems as they go along. In lieu of vaccination, you can always get a PCR test - good for 7 days. You have to be fully vaccinated 14 days prior for it to be valid.
