Seen some flooding in neighborhoods on the south side of Hwy 5....roads passable in 4x4 but too high for me to traverse in my car. A few spots around Hispaniola Beach were temporarily problematic but that's about all I've seen.

Yes, there was flooding slightly before Sea Horse Ranch today after the rains (when going towards Cabarete). Even had the cranes and other birds making it looking like a lake/marsh thing. Caused a bit of a traffic jam in the morning and a few vehicles broke down

There is about 12-14 inches of water on the highway at Sea Horse. There are large queues and lot of people turning back...there are also lots of complete idiots that decide to overtake thus completely blocking the road. Today is worse than yesterday and if the rains continue today it will just be even worse. But it looks like the sun is coming out. Yesterday the road to Playa Chiquita was closed by the fire department as the water was too deep to drive through, not sure if they opened it back up again but considering that it rained all night, I assume that it is still closed, maybe someone here can update us on Playa Chiquita.

There is an unknown secondary entrance to SHR that by-passes this lagoon (I use under these conditions). If you have a emergency contact me ...
You just turn left on the road just before the water and there is a gate at for SHR power plant (end of solar cells) and a guard will be there.

but I think better today ,,,,

The same thing happened a few years ago and I was severely delayed going to the POP airport, thanks to the chaos caused by the impatient idiots who think they have a right to pass on the wrong side of the road.

Pool guy arrived on his pasola this morning without problem. No water on Alejo Martinez in front of the Playa Chiquita Tennis Club. When the area floods the best route into Playa Chiquita is the dirt road from Dulce Secreto Cabanas to the Casino.
