I understand there has been epic flooding at Sea Horse Ranch and other developments around Sosua & Cabarete?
The same thing happened a few years ago and I was severely delayed going to the POP airport, thanks to the chaos caused by the impatient idiots who think they have a right to pass on the wrong side of the road. There is about 12-14 inches of water on the highway at Sea Horse. There are large queues and lot of people turning back...there are also lots of complete idiots that decide to overtake thus completely blocking the road.
Pool guy arrived on his pasola this morning without problem. No water on Alejo Martinez in front of the Playa Chiquita Tennis Club. When the area floods the best route into Playa Chiquita is the dirt road from Dulce Secreto Cabanas to the Casino. There is about 12-14 inches of water on the highway at Sea Horse. There are large queues and lot of people turning back...there are also lots of complete idiots that decide to overtake thus completely blocking the road. Today is worse than yesterday and if the rains continue today it will just be even worse. But it looks like the sun is coming out. Yesterday the road to Playa Chiquita was closed by the fire department as the water was too deep to drive through, not sure if they opened it back up again but considering that it rained all night, I assume that it is still closed, maybe someone here can update us on Playa Chiquita.
