A public event waiting for Trujillo in the city of Duverge, 1930. Trujillo arrived later to hear the people's claims. It was said there was unrest due to Desiderio Arias calling the people up in arms. Some months later, Desiderio was killed by orders of Trujillo in 1931.

I actually saw the salt/gypsum loader working before they retired it in 1996. There was only one old guy in Barahona who knew how to turn it on and make it run. It proved to be too slow for our requirements.
