Here are a couple of cantabric vasque words that crossed over into the old culture. When young I used to hear it all the time, today it is pretty much history though it is still heard.
"equelequ?" = eso mismo (used to signify consent or approval of something said)
"abur"= adios (goodbye, see you later)
"Eco lecu?" I thought it was of Italian origin. It is a very popular expression in Venezuela. I use it often as an expression of "that's it! or "it's correct!, or "that same way!".
Abur is also used in Cuba. There are documented use of "abur" that goes back to 17th century Spain. Some speculate its originally a Galician word ("abur"), and that the Basque changed to "agur"....
