I realize this, as I quoted Cristo "You can thank your local human rights activist (from the west) for this."... but I supposed my point was, why are not better conditions then demanded for DR prisoners...

Dominicans have been demanding better prison conditions for years. Not gonna happen.
Having spent time in a Dominican jail on more than one occasion, if it were up to me???
to hell with "human rights" let the punishment fit the crime.
