ONEC: Large Chinese businesses expand like wildfire in the country
I see a lot of his posts on the everything gringos demand their rights website. An imported ribeye steak (16oz) with potato and a side Ceasars salad for 1500. The cost is accurate as I have bought 16oz portioned ribeye at Rebelde Gourmet for cooking at home. About 1000 pesos /pound. I saw a febu argument with a customer of his in the comments section - not a good look. I think the tight wad crowd here, as Tarheel puts it, just prefers a cheaper bfast like Dicks bakery. And certainly few are willing to shell out 1500 for a dinner plate. His menu looks decent though. I don't eat out hardly except for pizza perhaps because it's my experience that I cook better than anyplace I've encountered on the NC. I certainly wouldn't pay 700 pesos for a chicken sandwich unless it was a business meeting or the like. Time will tell. Restaurants build a following here moreso because of the relationship with the owners. It has to be as I can't imagine why there is so much hype over many of these places.

It is impossible to operate without Chinese imports, just as exports to China are an important economic factor.
However countries now have realized that they have to achieve some autonomy in manufacturing important components for industry, defence,
Medicines in their own countries.
All Nations need economic and military cooperation to exist.
One often is forced to do business with different ideologies and competing countries.
Too many people greatly underestimate the Chinese. Very soon they will have the largest economy in the world. While the US tries to rule the world with it's military power, the Chinese will rule the world with their economic power.
Not that I like the system,
But one has to travel and see China to understand their incredible progress.
It's not just Chinese stealing tech from the West.
They have far advanced on their own research and infrastructure, which could be the envy of many western countries.
Obviously the government decides which industries are furthered and pays billions into subsidies and engages int long range plans.
Something Democratic governments can not do.
The Communist government haș obvious advantages and obvious shortfalls because of their system.
The DR still should take advantage of Chinese investments, where it is to the benefit of the DR.
The gob.do does have some capable people.

The uninformed is probably over 90% of the US population. To most of them, it's Russia, Russia, Russia, that they worry about.
