PCR Testing was never reliable

I had a Covid test done in Bonao, and had the results in 5 minutes. When was the last time you got something done in 5 minutes in the DR? (No crude replies please šŸ˜‚). I am skeptical of the results.

I don't think reliability is all that important. It makes the Capn Vax's of this world feel better.
Sung to Billy Joel's Captain Jack (just replace Jack with 'Vax'.

Captain Jack will get you high tonight
And take you to your special island
Captain Jack will get you by tonight
Just a little push, and you'll be smiling

So many on DR1 have been trying to expose the invalid amplification of virus being done with PCR testing, even the inventor of PCR testing saying it was not reliable for SARs type testing.

Now the flip-flopping CDC admits it was a faulty test.
I think the CDC is incompetent. They also tried to discredit Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine and yet later had to admit they had efficacy in early viral treatment.

Of course there will be those on this thread that will insist their facts come only from MSNBC for them to believe it.
Thatā€™s why the Canadian government still demands an antigen test for Canadians returning from international destinations, even if they have a negative PCR test. Most epidemiologists stated the PCR test was not 100% accurate. It was more accurate than the other tests available at the time. The CDC approved the PCR test based on that information. Testing is like viruses. They evolve.

That was the quick antigen test. The PCR test requires a much longer period to process. Donā€™t take that one to the bank. šŸ¤£

Good for you - no doubt CNN will be the first to let you know when the former guy is reinstated. Then he can go back to suggesting drinking Clorox and "sticking a light inside somehow" in order to beat Covid - you know, real useful stuff for Dominican doctors.

Cheers.
Tell me you're in a cult without telling me you're in a cult.
I know you, you are a CNN reporter !

No more USA politics, this is getting old.

I knew it was a scam after China uploaded their CCP propaganda videos to YT and other platforms. Where they locked down Wuhan, had dudes running around in HazMat suits, body bags piled into a warehouse, people falling over dead in the street, dead people in hallways in hospitals. It was all fake AF.

Was this an antigen test by drawing blood?

The US has required an Antigen test to enter, not a PCR test, So where is the connection to needing a PCR test to enter the USA?

Fake PCR tests? That'd be for Canadians, eh?
Funny thing is that immigration and customs doesn't even look at it.. This from two days ago in FLL..

au contraire

A multiplex PCR assay is capable of simultaneously detecting and differentiating influenza viruses, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and SARS-CoV-2.

Covid severity test is approved for sale in the UK

MeMed's technology uses machine learning to decide whether a patient may be able to recover at home or should stay in hospital

By Hannah Boland 27 July 2021 ā€¢ 7:00am

A pioneering test which tells Covid sufferers how severe their illness is likely to become has been approved for sale to British hospitals.
The test, developed by Israeli startup MeMed, has been given a CE Mark in Europe which allows it to be sold in the European Union. CE Mark rules mean it can also be sold into the UK until at least early next year.
MeMed's test works by taking blood from patients with Covid-19 and measuring proteins in the liquid portion. It then uses machine learning to analyse this data and estimate how at risk a patient is of going on to develop severe Covid-19 symptoms. The process takes 15 minutes and could help doctors require if a patient needs more medical help further down the line.
MeMed's test is thought to be the first of its kind to have received approval to sell into the UK. It can be sold to private and healthcare bodies or the NHS.
A British start-up, Oxford Biodynamics, launched its own Covid severity test in the US earlier this year.
The launch comes just days after NHS executives issued a warning over rising Covid hospitalisation rates, although daily positive test numbers have since started falling.
