Pepper spray -is it available to buy on the north coast?

I am looking to buy some pepper spray, does anyone know where to buy some in the Sosua/Cabarete/Puerto Plata area. There used to be a place near the police nacional in Puerto Plata but that store is no longer there. Anyone know of anywhere?

Her in Dominican Republic it is legal if you can prove that you use it as self defense (so they first have to enter your house or given you a couple of punches),. In my home country, it is illegal. We had a problem one time an she used it, at the end everybody got taken by the police and they wanted to press charges to my wife for using an peppersprya (that is illegal). At that moment the police told my wife: use a deodorant, if you spray it in someones faces, it has the same effect, they cant see or do anything and a deodorant is not illegal.....
Just a little tip I want to give you.

To answer your question: I dont know any store in Puerto Plata that sells it.

Pepper spray may be " Illegal", but every human is allowed to defend themselves from " Bears" and wild Animals.. and if you are not , you are truly living under Tyranny .
You just never know when you may encounter a "Bear"
Was not sure about other Countries, but in the USA its is 10% Legal across every single State .
and You can buy it on AMAZON . ( its the same stuff)

And if you happen to need it for an attacking Dog one day , Bear spray is definitely the way to go. a lot more Volume and you can reach out to 20 feet .
Fog an attacking dog, make a half circle perimeter around yourself, and he will definitely retreat.

Well, when a strong hurricane hits SD, around the zoo area is not the place to be. Escaped bears is only one of your worries! Just saying…

A buddy of mine uses bear spray in Los Angeles for the homeless who like to
throw objects at passing vehicles.
He tells me it's very effective.
