The Chamber of Deputies approved on Wednesday, 27 January 2021, the contract to purchase around 8 million Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines. The contract had already passed in the Senate on 19 January 2021. The contract establishes the Dominican government will purchase 7,999,875 doses of the vaccine at the cost of US$95,998,500.
