I hear you, but that's why I emphasised the Latin American ego. A culture of show offs. Trinidad, Barbados and Jamaica aren't Latin!
i stand corrected, since i was not sure where the emphasis of your analysis lies; third world, or Latin American.

Not the first time this has happened in Santo Domingo, so I hear.
This is what happens when third world countries try to do first world things. Typical of the Latin American ego. Showing off when one doesn't have the ability, education, training, or correct attitude. But plenty of machismo to make up for all those shortcomings.
Sad loss of these young airmen. RIP.
Twice as many??? as soon as the tragic event was reported there was an Semana Santa exodus to the malecon..............Well, at least there will be twice as many Dominicans at next years show!CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC
There have been many deaths at Air Shows involving first world pilots and aircraft. I've picked up the pieces.
Twice as many??? that's an understatement, you ever see the guy that uses the phermones to cover his body with bees, that's what it will be like next year and yesterday as soon as the tragic event was reported there was an Semana Santa exodus to the malecon..............Well, at least there will be twice as many Dominicans at next years show!CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

crashes at air shows happen all around the world, including in many first world countries.
With all due respect air crashes are relatively common in air shows, even in first world countries.

God bless these young men and their family.
With all due respect Beeza air shows are about showing off so it would be better to lament the fact that these guys aren't given the budget to get the training they need than to make this a cultural issue.
This stupid phone has terrible resolution, but looks like he was attempting to climb and stalled the wing without enough altitude to recover. No idea what he was flying, stall/spin characteristics etc. sad result

It is dramatic how in this video you can see that only 4 seconds before dying, he was still trying to pull off a stunt. Those 4 seconds must have been terrifying for both.
