Yeah to Dominicans, saying "I love Platano" does, most time, mean the male organ.......I think johnny could be right here. Bronxboy don't wear the tshirt if you don't want to send the wrong message ;)

And I meant a Holiday t-shirt NOT a "I Love Platano" t-shirt.

I am looking for a "I Love Aguacate" t-shirt.

You know where to find?

I was wondering why you were wearing a "I love platano" tshirt at the holiday inn, hahahah.

Tingola - Camisetas Expresivas
Bronxboy maybe you can find one here.......

does anyone know if this company ships or sells these tshirts in the US?

okai so you know how dominicans are called

platanos

does that just refer to a dominican guy???

would a dominican girl be called a platana?

or not?

No,
but a non Dominican female who dig everything about Dominicans would be called "Aplatana(da)". Aplatana(d)o for male.

LOL what a lively discussion.

Honestly, I've never personally heard a Dominican being called a platano, and since the PR ppl eat it too, I dunno why they would say it...

As far as the platano-penis correlation, I've never compared myself to a tiny platano ;)

you are right,
aplatanao or aplatana for female, when an expat become to be accepted and involved into dominican culture.

Err, aplatanado or aplatanada is when they learn to eat our food (platanos with... x), originally... but yeah, now it means they've integrated into the culture :p

BY THE WAY, HOW ABOUT A RIDDLE?

Oro no es,
Plata no es,
?Sube la cortina y veras lo que es!

For the non Spanish crowd:
It's not gold,
It's not silver,
Raise the curtain and you'll see what it is!

So, what is behind the curtain? Tip: you can't use the English translation to figure it out :p
