When we rented initially, our contract had 'first/last' + security deposit. If you have a job (or a substantial sum in the bank) your employer may vouch for you. Many landlords are willing to accept this.
Those those who are stumped/annoyed about txt (text) lingo...I know that there are some people who only use a phone to access the internet, as well as DR1. It's possible that this person is one of them and in text language you can minimize your charges & key strokes by using phone text abbreviations. 'Just a thought.
