Shouldnt that be finally targetting Jamao. DIGISETT are in Jarabacoa night and day, 4 or 5 locations at once. The AMET was in Jamao yesterday. Not for racers, but I believe to stop all to make sure they had papers for their motor bikes. The Jamao people are on Facebook all up in arms. They think this is terrible that the AMET are targeting Jamao. I have no words. Just want us all to go by the same rules.
maybe they were filming Fast and FuriousSaw this Happening a little while ago. Police grabbed a whole bunch of racing idiots and their chariots!
"En la acción policial focalizada fueron ocupadas 28 motocicletas..."
28 x 2.000 pesos each to get the bike back = 56.000 pesos. Not bad for a day's work.
No rear lights is a big problem, especially when some idiot is coming towards you with ultra-bright lights blinding you. Dominicans seem to think that as long as they can see where they are going, what happens behind is unimportant. They don't consider that they could get mowed down by a vehicle arriving from behind.28 down about 280,000 to go.
I wish they would have a crackdown island wide on substandard motos.
Coming home one night more than half the bikes than I passed did not have working tail lights. A few no headlights.
On a night like last night where the power was out and street lights not working a vehicle could easily hit one of these jabronis.
Either fix the bike or the next time it's crushed.
Cars should check their lights here more often too because with the potholes and cheap Chinese replacement bulbs chances are you will have a bulb that doesn't last a year.
I saw them doing a crackdown in Sosua a few weeks ago. They impounded a few bikes for not having correct documents. That seems to be all they're interested in. The condition of the bikes or how they are driven doesn't seem to matter to DIGISETT.A crackdown (or at least some enforcement) in Sosua is long overdue. My guess is that an operation like this would remove more than half of the motorbikes speeding around the streets daily.
my biggest issue is making turns when they're on the side of you. When in theory, they should be behind to see you're signal. Many new cars don't have side turning signals. They don't care about laws. They intentionally run red lights, ride with no helmets mirrors or lights. And Digesett can't stop them - they have no way to stop them as they speed by.my biggest issue is making turns when they're on the side of you. You can signal until you are blue in the face, but it won't stop them from passing on the side to which you are turning. You just have to use your mirrors incessantly to avoid hitting them. And, of course, it will be your fault.my biggest issue is making turns when they're on the side of you. When in theory, they should be behind to see you're signal. Unfortunately you are correct. I dont know many times I have been going straight through an intersection when an idiot on a moto passes on the right then left turns in front of me.You can signal until you are blue in the face, but it won't stop them from passing on the side to which you are turning.
