The Dominican Episcopal Conference (CED) called for Dominicans to continue to pray for the health of Pope Francis, who is suffering from double pneumonia, in a post on their Instagram account.
“Today, we unite in prayer for the health of Pope Francis, asking God to strengthen him and cover him with His love and protection. Let us come together as a community of faith, raising our prayers for his well-being and for all those in need of healing,” the Episcopal Conference shared in the post.
According to a report from the Vatican on Tuesday, 18 February 2025, the Pope’s clinical condition was “complex,” which means his hospitalization at the Gemelli University Hospital that began on 14 February was extended. In the Tuesday evening press release, the Holy See Press Office said that Pope Francis has double pneumonia, but nevertheless “remains in good spirits.”
