Brigadier General Pilot Jonás Reynoso Barrera has been named the new executive director of the National Anti-Terrorism Agency (DNA), according to an announcement from the Ministry of Defense.
The Ministry of Defense says that the appointment, made by Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, Minister of Defense, is part of an ongoing effort to modernize the institution to effectively address the threats posed by terrorism and transnational organized crime.
General Reynoso Barrera is a graduate of the “Batalla de Las Carreras” Military Academy and has a background as a combat pilot.
