Antoliano Peralta, legal advisor to the President, announces that the National Council of the Magistracy’s second session is called for early next week. He says that the full quorum of the council attended the first meeting on Thursday. The 10 members are convened for the second session will be held on 7 December.
The first session was suspended after the representative of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Victor Fadul left the session before the work. Fadul argued that the sessions should wait for the Superior Administrative Court to rule on a PLD party request that seeks to override the Senate choice of the representative of the second majority for a seat in the CNM.
