The media is complaining the Presidency is doing lip service to transparency and not leveling the field with the press corps assigned to cover the Presidential Palace activities. The press complains communication is just one way.
Diario Libre reports that many activities that should be public are restricted to the press on grounds they are “private.”
Listin Diario also wrote last week the Presidency is making it difficult for journalists to do their job with many activities being behind closed doors.
Acento sums up the feeling: “Communications doesn’t seem to be a strength at the Presidential Palace.”
