In his statement, Abinader expressed his commitment to foster the best of relations between the two nations in this new phase.

“I congratulate @realDonaldTrump on his significant electoral victory as the 47th President of the United States. The Dominican government will continue to strengthen the warm and strategic ties between our countries in this new stage,” President Abinader wrote.

Just for journalistic accuracy, and for no other reason, President-elect Trump has NOT won either Nevada or Arizona......but he is leading and expected to have officially carried those states when the final votes are counted and official results announced perhaps later today or tomorrow.

The original post has since been amended/corrected from what it said this morning.

Perhaps another journalistic faux pas, as corrected stories are usually noted with an asterisk and brief explanation for the correction.

Amazing they are STILL counting in those states. They need to take a lesson from Florida.

Somehow I think the way they do things are going to change, like it or not.

Each state has their own laws concerning voting/counting.....

Some allow 7 days from the election date for mail/absentee ballots to be received....meaning the "official" results are delayed.

Nevada has been called for Trump, but it is not yet "official."

Even some of the House of Representative races have not "officially" been decided.

The good news for the DR is that they will likely finally get an ambassador in 2025....and of course also the political cover President Trump will provide Abinader in his quest to deport Haitians.

I'm sorry but you are incorrect. he won these states, fair and square.

Neither Arizona nor Nevada has declared a winner. Decision desk is projecting they will be called for President elect Trump but their call is just a call……not official.

Click on each state and you will see that all votes are not yet in.

Will Trump officially be declared the winner in those two states……very likely……but it has not happened yet.

Leaders across the world are sending their congratulations because no matter what might happen in Arizona or Nevada, candidate Trump has the 270 electoral votes to be declared the overall winner and next President.

No more about vote counting continuation in Arizona and Nevada!
Why not take the thread down then ? C'mon man - it's a world event !
Or DR1 members can all go back to being entertained with speculating about how big the overstay fines will be or commenting on car crashes from 2nd story mall parking garages.

There are 100's of subject matters as to how trump will matter to the DR. Financial, social, culture, vaccines, borders and on and on.
But...why bother posting if the majority of the posts will be edited or
Against tos?
For some....it's not worth the effort to express their opinion here. Plenty of sites where it is welcomed.
